Why the name FirstWire Apps?

Our legal name is “Business Intelligence Consultant and Services LLP”. FirstWire Apps is our registered trademark and a brand name.


On May 24, 1844, Morse sent the historic first message over the wire: “What hath God wrought!”


The first time in the history of humans that thoughts could be sent long distances over the wire, the invention of telegraph stands as a turning point in history. This gave birth to telephone, computer network and then finally the Internet.


We took inspiration from this historical event and wanted to be a company known for innovations that have the power to change the course of history while keeping the best interest of humanity at its heart.


The brand name “First Wire” symbolizes “First in Innovation”.


Innovation can happen anywhere: how we sell services, work practices, technology, products, company culture, and the team structure. We aim to do better every day in everything we do.

Anand Agarwal, Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Anand is a Founder and Chief Executive Officer at FirstWire. He is a computer science postgraduate from one of the best Indian Engineering Colleges, Moti Lal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, and a Graduate in Mathematics and Physics subjects.

Anand has 20 years of experience in the Software Industry with roles spanning across domains like Telecom, Retail, and E-Commerce with technologies like Cloud, SaaS, Big Data, Analytics, and Web & Mobile App Frameworks. He has worked with some big clients in various capacities in roles like project manager and delivery manager, and he finally started his own company.

Before FirstWire, he worked with CGI, Canada’s biggest IT Services company. Prior to that, he had played key roles with companies like Tata Consultancy Services (India’s biggest IT Services Company) and Tesco’s Business Intelligence department (UK’s most prominent retail company).

Anand founded the company in 2012 and is instrumental in growing it from 3 to 100+ employees while servicing 400+ customers across the globe.

Our marketing team caught Anand for a candid and freewheeling chat to discuss his life, company, mission, and inspirations.


We have a team of software professionals with diverse experience ranging from project management to architecture, design to coding, support, marketing, and other aspects of digital business.

We work as a cohesive unit with a shared vision and a common value system.


We acknowledge the importance of team structure and build our team in a way as to minimize bureaucracy as much as possible. We believe in collaborative working and offer clear guidance and support to team members as and when required.

Our teams are divided based on major technological/functional areas and are led by group heads. Each area has a pool of senior members handling projects as Leads, who are supported by other team members.

All our technical team works in coordination with HR, Admin, Finance, and other internal support departments.


Our first rule is “Respect for all”. We foster a culture where respect and support for team members is the natural way of doing things. We encourage learning and experimenting within the boundary and timelines of projects. Our aim is to strive for innovation, critical thinking, and creativity.

We follow a flat team structure where every member feels free and safe to share their opinions and ideas and can collaborate on any type of project.

We have a set of standard processes for project execution, HR, and other functions, so there is no ambiguity in operations. We are governed by a set of operating principles.

Hiring Process

We follow an elaborate hiring process to ensure we get the best talent. It is vital for our operation as we believe in having a group of people who are self-motivated to do great things rather than being micro-managed. We hire experienced professionals and fresh graduates from some of the top Indian Engineering and Management Colleges and provide them with full-fledged training before placing them on any task or project.

Career Progression

We provide pre-defined career strategies for members to choose and flourish. We provide an environment for members to grow and enhance their skills to become project managers, technical architects, support managers, and marketing and sales professionals. Team members can move between roles as per their willingness and aptitude for the new role.

Project Initiation

We follow one of the two ways to take clients’ requirements and make a project proposal for you.

The first one is where we sell services as a product; it gives you a fair idea of what value you will get for your hard-earned money. You can add your custom requirements as well.

The second one is when you have a custom requirement; our team studies your requirements to make estimates and provide you with a quote for the complete project.

Estimation & Planning

We follow an estimation model based on our experience and the industry’s best practices. There are pre-defined models for each type of project, so there are very few chances for inaccuracy. We ensure that our estimates are aggressive yet reasonable to produce quality deliverables. Our highly experienced team of Business Analysts and Project Managers make sure that estimates are as accurate as possible.

Once we sign off on time & cost estimates, we take it as a fixed-price project and do not increase the price even if we take more time to complete. So any mistake in estimation is on us; this is as per our promise of a “Fixed Price” guarantee.
